In 2020 the most prominent emotions among South Africans were annoyance and boredom. In 2021, as the reality of the virus has finally sunk in, these emotions have been replaced with fear. As one might expect, the most searched Bible verse is currently Isaiah 41:10 : "so do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God." On Sunday we'll discuss the Bible's repeated encouragement not to be afraid, and how we can overcome our fears of sickness, loss and death.
